As the poem at the right tells us God sent down His love on the wings of a dove. This poem
is actually the lyrics of a classic country gospel song recorded by Ferlin Husky in the early
sixties.  Although it was recorded years ago, the words, as well as what the Bible tells us is
still true today.

Throughout the Bible references are made

to the dove appearing as a sign of love.  God
still sends down His love, but not always in
the form of a dove that we can see. Some-

times that love is shown when we offer help
or inspiration to a friend or loved one.

God's love can easily be seen if we play
the part of the 'dove'.  Extending your hand
(your dove's wing) with a friendly word of
encouragement or a simple act of kindness
will show others you care and through you
they will feel God's love.

When troubles surround your loved ones,
reach out.  Talk to them, pray with and for
them.  When they are lost and drifting as
Noah did, put your dove wing around them,
guide them home to God.

Let God use your dove wings to send
down his pure sweet love that others might
see a sign from above on the wings of
a dove. To help you get started we have
listed several simple things on our
articles
page that you can do to help others.

Do you know what a dove is?
    No, not the bird.
We're talking about being a 'dove' for Christ.

Don't worry if you don't know what that means, keep reading and you will learn.
The short definition is helping your fellow man in anyway you can. The poem
below "Wings of a Dove" tells the story of God sending his love on the wings of a
dove and the
articles on the following pages have suggestions on how you can be
a 'dove' for Christ.

In addition to learning how to be a dove we will also introduce you to Lynda

preachy. They are very entertaining for all ages, men and women.  Highlights

Wings of a Dove
                               by Ferlin Husky

On the wings of a snow white dove,
He sends his pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.

When troubles surround us, when evils come.
The body grows week, the spirit grows numb.
When these things beset us,
He doesn't forget us.
He sends down his love,
on the wings of a dove.

On the wings of a snow white dove,
He sends his pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.

When Noah had drifted on the flood many days,
he searched for land in various ways.
Troubles, he had some, but he wasn't forgotten.
He sent him His love,
on the wings of a dove.

On the wings of a snow white dove,
He sends His pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.

When Jesus whent down to the river that day,
He was b aptised in the usual way,
and when it was done, God blessed his son,
He sent him His love,
on the wings of a dove.

On the wings of a snow white dove,
He sends his pure sweet love.
A sign from aabove,
on the wings of a dove.
What is a dove?
